Most sources give James 4 children as Anne, Francis Jane, and Sarah, all of whom came on the ship with the parents. Some sites list Joanna and Francis, or put Joanna between Ann and Francis total 5 children. The source for this is unclear
Philip James, his wife Jane, their four children, and two 'servants', William Pitts and Edward Mitchell (servants meaning apprentice or employee), came from Hingham, England on the ship 'Diligent' of Ipswich in 1638. James received a land grant from the town of Hingham MA in 1638. He died soon after they came.
